T-Mobile USA Opens Global Technology Centre in Hyderabad

 




T-Mobile USA, through TMUS Global Solutions, inaugurated its Global Technology Centre in Hyderabad on 4 June 2026. The facility is located in Hitech City and covers 2.5 lakh sq ft, or 250,000 square feet.

Global Technology Centre

The Global Technology Centre is T-Mobile US’s first global technology hub outside the United States. The centre is designed as a technology and innovation facility for software engineering, DevOps, product development, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and artificial intelligence.

Hyderabad Technology Ecosystem

Hyderabad is a major information technology hub in Telangana and hosts several global capability centres, software firms, and research facilities. Hitech City is a well-known technology district in Hyderabad and contains offices of multinational companies, start-ups, and engineering services firms.

Employment and Expansion Plan

The centre is expected to onboard around 300 professionals by January 2026. The workforce is planned to expand to nearly 1,000 employees by 2027.

The centre was inaugurated by Telangana IT, Electronics, Communications, Industries & Commerce Minister D. Sridhar Babu. Chandra Gupta is the Vice President for Information Technology and Site Leader at T-Mobile Global Solutions India.

Investment and Business Model

The company has not disclosed a specific investment figure for the Hyderabad facility. T-Mobile describes the centre as a long-term investment in talent and capability building.

India Unveils First AI Governance Framework for Responsible Innovation

  India has taken a major step towards responsible artificial intelligence regulation with the release of its first AI Governance Guidelines. Issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the framework emphasises adaptive regulation within existing laws instead of introducing a separate AI-specific legislation. Adaptive Approach Over New Legislation The new framework advocates for an incremental and flexible approach, applying current statutes such as the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
